Happy New Year

Happy Hannukah, Merry Christmas...and happy everything else everyone.....
Leaving for Utah tonight...Plane leaves at 7:30. Going to Salt Lake City and then off to Park City for snowboarding. Packing my bags while I blog. Looking forward to beautiful snow and beautiful scenery. Also looking forward to riding my new snowboard! Presents are all delivered and it's time for vacation, relaxation, and concentration. My birthday is on the 28th...what a coincidence...I'm also turning 28. Happy birthday to me ...yay. 2 years to 30 ..wait...that's not exciting. Or maybe it is...we'll see when I get there. I'm rambling...I better finish packing. Hmmm...How many sketchbooks to bring? I received so many from my wonderful family and friends that I don't know which one to choose. I'll close my eyes and pick.

Down below are drawings from old sketchbooks....the oldest probably being from 1999. I still like them though. They remind me of school. Ok...better stop stalling...gotta get to the airport. See you in 2006!

So here are some preliminary sketches I drew before I painted that large whale down in the previous post. I was trying to find something fun to paint and when I drew that evil whale...I knew I was there. Yes, Yes, I know...more owls...but this time they're piratey!
Yo ho ho!

More figs for my friends

Since Jason Schleifer suggested we should all practice our ball bounces, I decided to animate one and here it is. Click the fast button on the bottom for even more fun.

Hello space are some more figure drawings. They're pretty messy and rough..which is how I like em.

Pirate art show this saturday night in L.A.

A good friend of mine, Mr. Manny Skiles has put together an art show at the Basswerks gallery in Los Angeles. It's happening this saturday night December 10th. There will be drinks and a dj and lots of good piratey things to view. Feel free to come by and support me! I think I'll be selling my piece this year. So if you want an original Jeremy better get there early!

Click here for Basswerks web site.

Just relax

I finished that huge shot on Friday...and this weekend I was able to relax. It's weird...I've been tense ever since I had that shot on my hands and now it's done... and this weekend was awesome. I even slept...a lot.

Some conceptual designs I drew a few months ago. I wasn't really thinking about anything in particular. I just wanted to get something on paper quick. I think it would be fun to just animate something in each panel and then piece them together...throw a music track to it and see what happens.

I went snowboarding in Mammoth Ca. during Thanksgiving weekend. I also walked on a frozen lake. While walking to the lake we spotted this man ice-skating with his dog trotting right beside him. My friends and I all wondered...."How does he know if it's safe?" Well, we asked ...and he responded "I don't." And then his dog said " Woof, save me, I'm cold and scared." Turns out the lake was very shallow, and pretty much frozen solid...but it still would crack a little under your feet. You could even hear it! It was pretty freaky and beautiful at the same time. We also saw amazing ice-icles on plants surrounding another lake...check out the 4 that look like upside down bats! Wow...nature is weird...huh?

Me trying to eat snow. Humans are weird..huh?
